Task: Create something using linear elements

I LOVE copper. It's by far my favorite metal. This sculpture was originally meant to be whimsical, but it turned out "Lovecraftian" or like something from a "Tim Burton movie," I've been told. The base is a spider web made out of particle board and burned. I had never used a dremel before, but man...it's a blast!

The copper was heat-treated to get the range of colors. It took a LOT of wire to get the thickness. I worked from 16-28 gauge.
