I made a vow
To be with you when the sea allows

But the water
Silently dragged me under
And many moons pass
As we drowned each other in impasse

Many seasons ago
I made you a promise
That despite our wait it still amiss

But come springtime tide
I shall be where the two waters collide
To be, finally, at your side

The last in a series of three illustrations of a saltwater boy and a freshwater girl's correspondences ( fav.me/db2tund ). What might seem like an impossible love might just be possible after all, folks - After all, that's what brackish water is for!
So don't give up on that one elusive thing - Work on yourself, keep the dream alive, and one day we too might find something (or someone) where the waters meet
