Aww, I really like this piece! At first glance, I thought this was based off of swiss cheese from the mouse, the colors, and the multiple holes in Jack. But at closer look, I suppose there's more to it than just dairy products.... Jack looks awfully happy to be in the presence of someone, even if it is just a mouse. (which I suppose makes sense since he lives in a box most of the time). They're an odd couple, but somehow the childishness of it seems to work. I don't know if you were go for a "deep and profound composition", but it really does spark some analysis and curiosity for them. :3
