Second shot at testing out White Nights, this time on Arches NOT, which is a little on the rough side. The first time I tried this paper, I didn't like how rough it was, it just makes preliminary sketching very difficult and messy. But this time around, I liked how the extra tooth gave my washes more texture. Also, trying to transition myself to a larger scale (all my other stuff is mostly ACEO-size).

She's supposed to be navigating on clouds, but it turned out more like choppy water. Looks a lot messier and more undefined than what I had planned in my head. Still, I'm not too unhappy with it. I may just develop her character and use her more if I can come up with anything good.

I used pearlescents on the trail, which can sort of see in full view. Also, I employed the use of a color chart I made for these colors. It helps a lot in terms of seeing what and how versatile the options you have. I want to make another one for my 24-color kit, but I'm afraid I don't have a piece of paper big enough to fit the chart o.O (576 color yield).
