real nice on the shading and the border. i really love these kind of pictures, you might of been able to add some more scratches or grunge in ps but it still looks great the way it is. great job.

Whoa, that's pretty fucking awesome for a "quick" sketch. Once again,I am really liking the dark tones and all the furious, quick thick strokes of the pencil. Gives me the feeling that the scarecrow is scary and that I should be afraid of him.

beautiful.. hauntingly surreal work.. its great how the angle of the scarecrow is slightly tilted.. it gives it a much more ominous air than if it were simply horizontal somehow. perfect atmospheric capture..

I added this to my favorites right away, I love the lighting, I love the cape, I love the faded scarecrow look to it.
The dark sky fading away into the background, the branch-like arms cut short and stubbly and frightening...
I can't describe the mood that awashes over me when I look at this drawing. It's realistic and yet very stylized, like an ideal comic book cover, or a lovely poster to put up on a wall of a room that is very gothic-themed.
The way you bring the black out into the gray and then progressively white negative space is very impressive to me. The technique (visibly smudged, with more defined darker lines traced over it) gives a stormy, cloud-cast sky appearance.

its exactly what popped into my head when I saw this... it is very well done, and the extra framing in the image adds to it... makes it feel more isolated. Very nice. Ya know... Inormally don't like sketches... but I really really like yours
