Already uploading it because I can... lol
just finished that page as well as screentoning the whole epilogue @.@ that took me two whole days *dead*
and I'm using Manga studio now and am still waiting for my new graphic tablet to arrive so I can truly use that software *___* (I really should quit becoming a teacher and just be an artist... the stress just THINKING about school preperations is driving me insane... and I CAN complete a whole set of 30 pages a month if I didn't have any other job... LOL argh, why was I born in Germany... LOL I wanna be a manga artist, even though I'm not even all that good but I ENJOY it so much... X__X *rant over*)

You are great at drawing, first off, but even if you weren't it really is perseverance and a great storyline that really counts. If you want a example of a manga that you draw ten times better than (at least in the beginning) but it still became so popular that it not only had a anime but also J Drama, K Drama, Taiwanese film (and maybe drama but I can't remember), and is currently filming a pilot for an American drama, look at Hana Yuri Dango/Boys Over(/Before) Flowers. So don't give up. We have faith in you.

at least I can still draw as a hobby and the kids enjoy my art on their worksheets or the doodles I give them during breaks

Lancelot looks kind of conspiritorial here.
Also - don't give up on being a mangaka - you still can! If you've ever read Inuyasha, the art wasn't of a great quality when it first began, but it was very successful none the less! You just need to work on some original works. The other options is to find a published writer and work in tandum with them, you drawing their comics - that can get you into the right circles. (I did a Writing for Comics course so I know a little of the ins and outs of the industry, though I come from the writers side.)

yeah, I know, it's just super hard for comic artists in germany as it is
and I'm mainly drawing original works ^^
merthur is the only exception haha XD since I loved Merlin so much XD
and I can't work with a writer, coz I love creating stories myself way too much adn would always fight with them over what's gonna happen next

If you're struggeling with getting representation in Germany, you might consider sending your stuff to American or England? And fair enough if you don't want to work with a writer, though I would seriously consider getting a beta-reader. You're English is fantastic, but there are times when you repeat words and the phrase doesn't flow quite right. I love your work, so it would be great if you could go further with it.

I agree with you that you should quit your job as teacher and become a full-time artist, like I should quit mine and become a full-time manga/fanfic reader. Unfortunately, I can't do that.

awe, lol I did get into my number one uni choice back then too, but I figured my parents couldn't afford it after all so I went to the one that was closer but had the same courses
so what did you study?

thanks, but it's just a german school ^^ I didn't study german as a forgein language so I cannot teach that outside of germany - same goes for the rest, but oh well... I might try upgrading my degree so I can teach abroad as well one day, since I really would love to go the UK for a couple of years
