Soft paw, hard kick.

This is Cheekee, a daughter of the Satinpaw Pandarens, a clan of tailors, monks, and paw philosophers. Every one in the clan studies tailoring by trade, and trains as monks by profession. In addition, they each will select their own extra trade to supplement. It can be anything really, her mother chose alchemy to create their semi-legendary (more just epic) Satinpaw Salve. Her father is a leather worker, and makes the close-toed boots they wear. Uncommon for Pandaren to have hidden toes, but when they do, papa Satinpaw is usually to credit. Her brother practices blacksmithing, making the bracers she wears, and the buckle for her belt. Would make her blades too if she did not favor her own body, so he at least makes the gauntlets and greaves they aren’t pictured here. She has a little sister too, whom despite being so young, is a gifted little sprout in jewelry crafting. Cheekee’s little sister’s earrings are one of her most treasured items. And Cheekee herself, she’s an enchanter. Everything her family makes, she can augment and bolster with magical essences. Some would say she’s the secret ingredient to her father’s incredibly sturdy boots, but that would be to underestimate a discerning cobbler’s refined talents. She just glosses it up to make it they much more perfect, favoring speed oriented enchantments anyway. The only article she wears that isn’t of her family’s making in this pic is her red headband, whom she got from an old fallen ally after fighting alongside him against a dragon over a lakeside town.

Now what about the Satinpaw Salve I mentioned? Another trait of her clan is that they have a near religious adoration of paws. They are what carry Pandaren everywhere, they are what channel a ludicrous concentration of chi into their kicks, they contain a nerve for everything else in the body and thus must be respected and cared for. Hence, the boots. Hence, the salve. Every day they massage the herbal lotion into their hands and feet, and rarely trod around bare pawed. They pride themselves on having the softest skin of any clan, and actively tout the benefits of foot care. Their cheerful demeanors reflect that.

Cheekee herself, she’s generally a somewhat sassy, but playful and pleasant individual. She rarely angers, but the best comes out hard and snarling when she is. Even without anger, she can kick like a train, her control of chi being top of her class in school. She credits her care for her feet as being the reason she has the serenity and focus to conduct chi so cleanly. It was in monk school where her own fascination with paw pads became cemented. All throughout her childhood, feet and pawpads were a constant motif in her clan, from the artistic side to the practical side. They would often massage each other’s feet with the salve at night. And at her school, it was no different. She quickly became popular for her five-star massages, and the salve grew famous around the village.

Now as an adult, it has become concrete in her psyche. She adores paws and everything to do with them. Sight, scent, feel, it’s all part of the experience. And the sensations. She has a bit of a thing for tickles as well. When she was a lass, her mom would always massage her paws at night before bed with the salve. But she was a very ticklish little girl, and would often struggle to hold still if they were too light with their fingers, or got the claws too involved. And she knew this, and would close off every massage with a brief tickling. This became sentimental to her all her life, and thus a tickle-wench was born.

In combat, she’s far from a slouch. She is a Windwalker monk, preferring her main defense to be a strong offense. Being a Pandaren over six and a half feet tall, she’s already quite strong, but her chi is where her power most comes from, able to fell a sea giant with a hearty kick to the legs, and following flurry of punches to the head. And when things really get serious, she can pull out the stops, and split into three spiritual clones of herself to divvy up the pain. She’s mastered the Touch of Death, to multiply the power of her attacks several times over. Think the exploding head meme from Fist of the North Star. Flurry of punches, slight delay, then boom. Touch of Death. It is her healing magic which helps her be truly independent on the road though, able to patch herself up with a warm glow after a surprise attack from a daring cutthroat. Might and mercy, this is how a monk does it.

And finally, what’s is she doing with her life currently? Well she’s left Pandaria for the time being, and now peruses her wanderlust across Azeroth and beyond. Someday beyond. For now, she’s barely stepped foot outside of Elwynn. She’s quite fond of wooded areas, but had an extra bit of fun with the mountains of the Burning Steppes, and even met an old friend she never thought she’d see again. Before running for her life from servants of Ragnaros at least. She’ll be back though. Right this moment though, she’s gotten done fighting off some Worgen pirates, and teleported via mage to Andorhal up north. Once again, running for her life from an army of undead Scourge. So that is her current project at the time of writing here. She’s gunna take flying lessons soon, so that’ll be fun! But that’s her life in a nutshell. Adventure, nature, making new friends, and spreading the gospel of healthy feet.
