Description Due to popular demands ,I decided to make a coloring tutorial .To avoid page stretch ,I used flash to make a book like tutorial .I had a lot of fun working with flash, though it was frustrating at times. I checked the tutorial 4 times ,and had 2 friends tested it /correct it for me ,so it should work smoothly .

Just a Note. This tutorial is not for beginners ,it's for people with at least some understanding of how digital programs work .This tutorial is very general that means it have about a little of everything .

Tip .If you have trouble with picking colors or shading ,then you should probably try to find some good references on google (cloth ,skin ,shoes ,etc) . It helps a lot .Also picking colors comes with experience, you can't expect to learn it in one day ,again the best way to learn about the different tone combination is to find references and learn from them .

Well then, Enjoy ! If you have any questions about the tutorial , please comment here ,I'll get back to you asap : )

Tutorial made with flash 8
Programs recommended for this tutorial : Paint tool sai ,Photoshop ,opencanvas ,Painter

Okay... but is the Preserve Layer Opacity in Sai the Clipping Layer function in Photoshop? Because for the life of me I could not find anything like this anywhere yesterday...

It's called "Paint Tool Sai" you can get some of the older ones for free but, it's best to just pay it from the official website & be done with it.

Try Krita!Β
It's wonderful and has (from my experience) all of the functions an artist would want

demongal [2014-12-05 08:46:15 +0000 UTC]

also, did you delete your lineart layer or hide it or something?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

demongal [2014-12-04 06:01:16 +0000 UTC]

Wait, here's something I don't understand: are you blending by just adding more color to the layer? Because I thought blending would be like it is with real paint, where you just kind of "smudge" the two colors together. Maybe it's because I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note but my colors don't really blend...

Thank you for this, but how do you cut the line art just for the face and not leave a cut area behind?Β  Is the head line art on it's own layer or is this the use of a lasso tool?

Very nicely done I prefer this to if it was one big long list like most tutorials, makes it a lot easier to just stay focused on the step you're on rather than want to jump around and get confused. Thank you!!
