Maaan, I missed drawing DN fanarts
Quick portrait of the new L, as seen in the currently ongoing Death Note live action series! Are you watching it? I'm already loving it, they did a great job with the actors and the whole story adaptation in my opinion
My only complain is that L looks a bit too much like... a K-Pop idol? LOL I don't know, it looks like they mixed his style and Near's (which is really cool actually), I wish they'd stuck a bit more with his original look but I think the actor is doing a great job and physically speaking he does resemble L, and it was inspiring enough to make me do a portrait of him
I'm truly enjoying this series so far, can't wait for the next episodes! Also that Matsuda is adorable

I only heard of the series, haven't really seen it yet. It sounds so... hilarious, with the ideas of switching Light and L's personalities up and down, probably in a good way. Just, I still can't stop snickering every time I think about this "cool" L (and... the new Light, of course). So different from the manga counterpart. Still looks cool, though. I can't help but comparing-- pfft, okay. This is actually how I imagined L before his face was revealed in the manga. Now I just want to laugh at the difference--
...okay, I'm rambling.
Now I'm interested with the series, and your drawing is so cool. *sigh*

I don't think mixing he and Near was a bad idea; Near and Mello were supposed to resemble L after all, so maybe the idea was to make L and Near's connection more evident, like they wanted to make clear where Near's behavior comes from. I must admit that I found really adorable how L and Near are similar in this series, the only thing the bothers me is how cool-looking L is actually

Well, for me it was worth watching simply because of the Mello doll. I was in stitches for about 5 minutes after seeing it - but then I always had a soft spot for Mello~XD

Wait, DN live action series??? ... I'm not sure where to watch it, but apparently Light's not a genius, but L is, and therefore it should be over in the first episode.

Yes, there's an ongoing series in Japan! It follows the original story with a couple of changes, but it's really good and I totally recommend it

anche a me piaceva un sacco Matsuyama, per me resterΓ l'unico vero L! PerΓ² anche questo nuovo attore sta facendo un grandissimo lavoro, fisicamente lo ricorda molto (come tutti gli altri personaggi), l'unica cosa che unΒ po' mi stona Γ¨ il fatto che abbiano reso L troppo "belloccio", quando in realtΓ doveva essere piΓΉ trasandato

You can watch it on Crunchyroll if you're country has the permission or you can find it on Dramafire and Dramacool! :3 this is a completely new series with new actors, it follows the original story but has some changes, I totally recommend it
