No, I recently finished Death Note, and Mello had orange hair and Near was blonde..a very light blonde that looks white.

Times like this I wish I wouldn't read commets... Sorry for disappointing you but as a Death Note and Mello fan for long years let me tell you that Mello has blonde hair, and Near is most likely an albino kid with actual white hair.

That was the lighting, when they first shown Mello had orange and Near white-blonde hair. And Mello had orange hair in other scenes. It's the lighting in most that make him look blonde. Heck I look like I have orange-ish brown hair in some lighting and I'm a blonde.
Anyway, so this argument doesn't go on forever, let's say you're an awesome artist. And that any humans I draw suck (which they usually do...I can't draw people to save my life)

The creators of death note said that matt had brown hair, Mello had blonde hair, and that Near was albino. The lighting on Matt's hair was different at the time and made him seem like he had read hair, but he actually doesn't. Mello had blonde hair and we all know that. Near's hair is white and the creators wanted his hair to be white, so the argument is invalid XDĀ
