I love the plaintif look on Verloren's face. It's incredibly expressive. Mabib looks unimpressed, but maybe he just misses his chair? And I feel like there's a story here, which makes it all the more intriguing.

Thank you so much. I've remembered recently how much I enjoy using watercolors.
And haha, that's not Magor-Missabib. Magor has short, curly blonde hair, and golden ram horns, and gold eyes... pretty much everything about him is gold. He's also much shorter than Michaelis Verloren and would never be caught without his suit and smile on.
This particular demon belonged once to the Betwixt, and I've always just referred to him as Tar, but he's a guardian... of sorts. And yeah, there is more story behind this. I've actually got a written excerpt of this scene, if you care to see it.

That reminds me of when I drew up a series of tar pit paintings... Each one featuring a character trapped in tar and trying to escape but being held back by many gooey tendrils. Now I think back on it it seemed an awful lot like they were trying to be born from the tar like so many tar babies... which makes me think of Brer Rabbit AND Mothersoup, which I can't get into without loads of tangents, and my mind is already laboring to pay attention to this window.
