Description This is a commission piece with a woman who is refusing the gift of giving her life to Christ, and her Guardian Angel, feeling the pain of her stubborness.
In his hands are the great gifts-symbols of the Christian faith, such as baptism, The Body and Blood of Christ and Prayer(The rosary).
Our Guardians guard and protect, but they also are dedicated to lead us into all thruths, and all knowledge. We should ask our Guardian Angels to do this for us daily, and thank them for their hard work. Their whole occupation is to help lead us to Heaven.

size:8x10 inch

I see a small tear in the woman's eye. Sometimes our greatest challenges are those inward ones that no one but God can see. I like the addition of that tear, it's a reminder that there's more to her than her statuesque exterior.

Love the details of this one, the combination of baptism shell and chalice, like the blood and water that flowed from His side, and the three rings sort of like halos.

Nice touch with the intertwined halos But is she refusing out of absence of faith or because of something else (eg not wanting to be a nun but more a layperson)?

Good question JadineR-the story behind this image, from the customer is that the woman's soul longs for God, yet her flesh is resistant, due to being too proud, and stubborn. So, the Guardian is sad that she is missing out on what her soul longs for.
Thanks for the kind words too!

Thank you for your comment Definitia. I do indeed think they care far more deeply about us, and are involved in way more of our lives that we realise.

I've thought before that our Guardian Angels are very sad and silent when we go apart from God, but they are still here, always. Beautiful piece.
