Description "That which separates us will make us stronger. Therefore, please wait for me, for my love for you will never die."

"My love for you is like a cherry tree; it keeps on growing, thriving, and blossoming."

"My love for you is like a booming river; it flows for eternity, a beautiful wellspring of life in my heart."

...I took a long time to scan this. Or at least figure out an efficient way without having the two "halves" get turned into two pictures. A good chunk got cropped off from the guy's side, but oh well. I cropped off a little on the girl's side just to make it even.

These are two of my OCs, the boy on the left is Chinese. The girl is half-Chinese, half-Japanese.

Girl - Michiyo Takahashi, illegitimate daughter of a Chinese native and a Japanese officer. She was brought to Kyoto, Japan, right after her birth, and cared for by her father's family. She is called Onihime, in honor of her pale beauty, and her "dirty" origins. A quiet and melancholy girl, often referred to as a ghost or a demon because of her appearance. Though she was conceived through rape, her father was truly in love with her mother, Li Mei. Her mother feared him, so he did it out of his obsession for her. Takahashi Kyosuke, her father, is often busy, but he sends her gifts from all over the world. Michiyo-san knows of her past, but loves both her father and mother (who is still alive in China) regardless.

Boy - Zhang Wuying, a messenger boy in his home city of Shanghai, China. Called Meinan (beautiful male) for his lithe body and graceful ways. He has an older sister and older brother, both of whom have families. He is a fun and peaceful guy, who loves making jokes and hanging out with his friends. He works extremely hard in learning things, so he can attend a good college and move to America.

The two meet at a festival in Yunnan, Michiyo looking for her mother, and Wuying visiting family.

I love the way you drew these, particularly your use of colours.
Is the fish significant at all?

Thank you very much! I love rainbow colors very much, but I'm a little ticked off that my art teacher only let me use primary colors to make the rainbow.

I guess it's just to create contrast against the ultramarine fishbowl and the green plant, and provide a central point where a person can look at.

Will you publish this tale someday?

Thank you so much! I can't remember the last time somebody has told me that.

Asian art is so different from Western art, but the feel is very nature-like and peaceful. It's nice to take a break from sketch and other things, and go surreal, for once.

LunaArcanum18 In reply to Naruyumi-Mite [2012-08-02 20:18:14 +0000 UTC]

No problem. That is very strange hearing that because of your talent.

Yeah I love Asian art because the mood of Asian paintings and drawings are always relaxing. Yeah I love surrealism.

Aw shucks

I'm going back to China this year with my family to visit relatives! My uncle and first cousin, his son, are both artists too. Time to go around the city and see lots of different art

Wow that's awesome! I always wanted to visit a country like that. Only other country I've been to is Mexico. It's very beautiful there too. Sounds like talent runs in the family.

It's funny, because both my mom and dad aren't artists My grandma kinda is. My mom says it has something to do with hidden genes.

Mexico's so lively! When I went to Mexico City, the colors just blew my mind away. The art, music, and food are amazing!

Wow very cool! Neither are my parents or any one else from both of my sides of the family that I know of well actually I have a cousin that lives in Mexico that draws very well.

Yeah it is. I would love to go there again. I haven't been to actual Mexico in like 7 years but I go to Baja California like once or twice every year. I love it there.

Art's a special gift that only certain people are blessed with, so we're both lucky duckies!

Damn, I really want to go there. The closest I've gone to there is Santa Barbara. =.=" I'm going to ask my parents if we can go there sometime in the future.

Haha yeah I love being able to draw.

Yeah It's really nice over here. Maybe not so much where I live because it's all mostly desert. I haven't even been to Santa Barbara myself haha. Where in the US do you live at if you don't mind me asking.

NJ! It feels more like Montana, until summer comes. I swear, nature's freaking right at my doorstep. Once a bear wandered in our backyard. It was NOT fun

We have too much deer :U
As a high school English teacher once said: "There aren't many predators for deer in this state. Unless you count speeding cars."

I live on a mountain, so it's clean and relatively safe, but places like Newark and Atlantic city... Ugh >.<
Which state/country do you live in?

Haha that's pretty funny but true.

Wow sounds very nice. I would love to live on a mountain. The air is probably very clear up there.

I live in the U.S in California like 3 hours away from Las Vegas and like two hours away from Los Angeles. I live very close to the Mojave Desert. It's so hot over here today. lol

It's fun living on a mountain. It's like the countryside, and we're in a really secluded place. Lots of greenery.

I never leave the house during the summer, since it gets really hot, even though we're pretty far up north.

Cali's awesome!! It must get pretty exciting where you live, if you live so close to two really big cities. Deserts... Ugh. I feel for you. I hate hot weather.

Wow sounds so relaxing and peaceful.

Yeah I hate going outside when it is super hot especially when it is humid. I an't wait for fall.

Yeah it is. The beaches here are nice and I love going to Nevada and Arizona too. They are hotter than where I live but they are cool places to visit.

So where did you learn how to draw very well or where you self taught?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Naruyumi-Mite In reply to LunaArcanum18 [2012-08-03 01:16:30 +0000 UTC]

Fall is probably my favorite season, if I weren't born in the winter. So winter's my favorite season, since I love the crisp chilliness.

The warm weather gets everybody so excited/lethargic, depending on who it is. It's really fun getting to get out of the state/country to see different types of people and scenery

I've been sculpting (self-taught) since age 3, so that'd mean that this would be my 11th year (turning 14 on Christmas!!). I've been drawing since I was a baby, apparently, and I've been taking lessons at a pretty famous NJ studio since 5th grade.

Me too I love fall. It reminds me of Halloween and Thanksgiving. When is your birthday? Mine is December 1st so I love winter too.

It gets me excited too but not when it is super hot I can't breath lol.
Yeah I really like going out and traveling.

Oh my gosh you are so young. By the way you draw I thought you were at least 18 lol. That is really cool you are so talented at such a young age.

Christmas~ December buddies!!! 8D Yay! I really like winter because during December, it becomes so cheery because of all the holidays, especially Hanukkah and Christmas. It gets me really pumped up too!

I don't like summer because it's so hot, but the sunshine really cheers me up.
I'm more of a couch potato than anything, but traveling's a great experience.

Thank you! It's so weird for me to be on here with such talented people who are also a few years older, but we're artists, and we band together!
