I've been a huuuuge fan of Hey Arnold since I was a kid, and honestly I can't believe it took me this long to draw some fanart for it.I kept really close tabs on the fandom for awhile. For so long I thought I thought I was chasing a unicorn and there was no possibility that the fabled Jungle Movie would ever be produced. Holy crap, I've never been so happy to be wrong LOL! I flew out of my freaking chair when I heard that they actually made it! It turned out so well, and I'm so happy that this series finally got the closure it deserved. I think I heard somewhere that if there's enough interest, they might even make some more episodes! *obsessive fangirly squealing* *deep breath* Okay anyways, this just my fan interpretation of how Arnold and Helga might look as young adults since I don't really draw kids or teens lol. Chronologically, this would take place after The Pataki's (a series concept of Helga's life as a teenager). I imagine they had strained relations and perhaps they haven't been together for awhile. Finally they meet up again in college and go party with friends on the streets of Hillwood together like they did in the intro as kids <3
I also figure that by this point Helga has decided to have two eyebrows, but they're still pretty dark and bushy haha. I kind of took her sister Olga as an example, as I believe she also had a unibrow at Helga's age.

Ahh! I grew up with Hey Arnold! and it was my favorite kids show, growing up! I always liked how chill and how great of a problem solver Arnold was, while he still cared for the people who had the problem. Helga, while I didn't like her at first, is such a hoot to watch. She's so funny the more you take the time to get to know her!
Regardless, this is beautiful and exactly how I'd picture them as young adults! I love the use of light and dark and the poses and facial expressions are just so endearing! I also love your use of texture! It kind of has a 90's grunge feel to it, which matches what they're wearing >v< Wonderful job!

I agree! The character development in that show was one of the best I've ever seen in any media *_* Craig Bartlett went above and beyond for what you'd expect from a kid's show haha.

Thanks! It was a challenge to make the characters look like their cartoon versions since their proportions are so strange haha. Like how do you draw a football shaped head? I figure that maybe his hair is kind of puffed on the sides and he likes football a lot, making him a "football-head", I dunno, lol.

Thanks! It was hard to draw wacky-shaped cartoons more realistic proportions. Perhaps I should have given them identical outfits to their childhood ones? Though I figure they may have outgrown them by now, at least a little x3
