MUAHAHAHAHA! A tribute to the much-awesomer, original design of Krystal and a classic that could have been. Star Fix Adventure was okaaayyyy I guess... BUT DINOSAUR PLANET LOOKED STINKING COOL!
I think I might add some more shadows to the picture, but overall still I am very happy with how this came out! Anyway, hope you guys like the art! I somehow hope that Rare could get the copyrights to remake this game in its original form someday, that would be so cool! ^v^Dinosaur Planet (c) rare/ Star Fox (c) Nintendo

Yes! DP Krystal is the best! She cool in Star Fox, but nothing beats Krystal as her creators originally intened to be. Totally go for it!

I really really REALLY hope (I keep hanging on to this hope) that, one day, Dinosaur Planet will leak out onto the internet (AT THE VERY LEAST) and people will finally be able to play it. I'm more of a fan of the DP Krystal more than I am the SF Krystal... mainly because, in my opinion, DP Krystal seems like she would've been a character who was quite capable of taking care of herself, to where the SF Krystal seemed like a mash-up between a generic furry whore (pardon my language) and Princess Peach... basically a damsel in distress.
And while I did like Starfox Adventures (I used to play it non-stop years ago), I think Dinosaur Planet would've been better off as its own game, without McCloud and his friends being dragged into it all because Sabre apparently looked like Fox. The game wouldn't have been so short, since the story behind it wasn't so horribly butchered. Heck, the game probably could've been a cult classic.
...And it would've been one of those games that I'd play over and over because I enjoyed it so much. I actually remember being 11 years old when I first heard of the original DP concept, and I tried looking all over eBay for a copy of the game just to be told that it was canceled (imagine my disappointment, haha).

Hopefully one day either the beta or demo ROM from E3 2000 will surface somewhere... either that, or somebody with enough knowledge and skill will be able to make a fan-recreation of the game and release it for an emulator or something (that would be pretty cool, actually).
I've still yet to do some DP Krystal and Sabre fan art of my own... I've just been so caught up in doing other projects and schooling. XD

Well, the game was falling apart long before it was turned into SF:A. One of the reasons Miyamoto did what he did, besides the "Sabre looks like Fox" thing.
I haven't seen a single place where Krystal acted like a "whore" (unless you're talking about fanart, which is only relevant to the twisted furfreaks that drew it) and she's only been rescued once. Peach has been rescued in how many rehashed Mario games now? Hell, even Slippy has been rescued more times than her xD (Even before adventures/assault)

Well, come to think of it now... it was "falling apart" in a sense because its release date kept getting shoved further and further behind or something due to development issues (I'm not entirely sure about that one, though... I read that somewhere a while back, maybe a year ago, but I don't really know if that's true).
I'm just more fond of Krystal's design in DP, prior to SFA (that, and she seemed to have more of a background story according to RareMinion, if the information is all true). That, and my time in the furry fandom and seeing all the filth of her kind of made my opinion change about her... which, I know, other peoples' depictions of her shouldn't have swayed my opinion on her because she's not really a whore in any of the games. 
I liked SFA, and I still kind of do... it was definitely one of those games that I played over and over again because I liked it so much when I was a fan of the series. I just think it would've been better if RareWare wasn't being bought out by Micro$oft at the time and they could've made the game longer, story-wise. If I recall correctly, I remember reading about how Slippy and Peppy were even supposed to help Fox out on the planet as well, instead of being stuck inside of the Great Fox the whole time. Ah, well...

Ya, Miyamoto got impatient and Rare was dragging ass even when they changed it over to SF:A. Which is why we got what we got. But most of the team (if i remember correctly) had fallen apart even before Miyamoto said that. That's why even in the small videos we see, there is not 6 temples (as that is how many there was suppose to be in DP AND SF:A).
[link] I love Conker's bad fur day (Dunno if you ever played it), but if they went through with 12 tales, I would have not bought it. So by all means, DP could have been good, or it could have been bad like that. Fact is, we'll never know.
I mean, when you see those pics of her, just note to yourself it's not her nor canon in any matter. Hell, if we went by fanart (EVEN MORE SO IN THIS FANDOM), even Fox is a whore. No one is safe from rule 34 (light or heavy), ya know?
Slippy doesn't get any better in later games. Even his wife has him henpecked xD I did notice Falco gets more humble and Krystal does fight for herself as it goes on (in Command, she flies solo to show Fox she can handle herself in battle and even joins the military. But, only after Fox kicked EVERYONE out of Starfox. I hate Command btw xd).
Well, Fox was suppose to save Krystal halfway through and there was going to be Six temples (as I said) and Peppy/Slippy was going to come down, which is why they're on the coverart, but we never see them :/ But Rare dragged around, and you have to remember, Miyamoto is a business man, not a fan. So he told them to slap what they had so far and get it ready before they went over to Microsoft :/ So, I blame both of them.

Haha, yeah, I've played BFD. I actually played the Xbox remake before the N64 version, though... I didn't even know about the N64 version until just a few years back. It's definitely another of my all-time favorites. I don't think it would've fared well if it were to be kept as Twelve Tales, though. (Rare was being criticized a lot for producing all of those cutesy E-rated games, anyway, if I can remember.)
It's a bummer that Rare took their time and dragged about with both versions of the game, though. DP could've probably been good... and as much as I did like SFA, it could've been better if they weren't just taking their time with it (but then again, half of the team left before they went off to Micro$oft, so that could be a possible explanation).
I actually just changed it to this one not too long ago because I was tired of the old, crappy drawing I had in it before. I see a lot of other people with these flashy ones, though, and many of the people are rude... I need to hurry and change it to something different, I don't want somebody to think I'm a mean ass myself. And I don't want somebody to stroke out and have a seizure.

Yeah, I wouldn't have bought it and Conker wouldn't have been my 2nd fave when it comes to the furry side if they did xD My first fave furry was Sonic-until he started talking. He just became a douche the more he spoke, even to his friends.

I kind of agree with you on Sonic. Though, I just lost interest in the series because I'm not too interested in the newer games, more than I did because he's a douche to his friends.
I do remember hearing somewhere that Adventures was being remade for the Wii or Wii U or something, but I don't really know for sure if it's true or just a rumor. It would be interesting to see what they'd do if they did end up remaking it. Perhaps they'd try extending the story or something, adding things that weren't able to be added because of Rare's having to be bought out by Micro$oft.
And I'm glad I didn't come off as a rude person or anything, what with my old, flashing avatar. Many people with the flashy avatars can come off to be quite mean at times and I'm not really one of those people unless I need to be... which isn't often, thankfully. XD

I saw a rumor like that too for the Wii-U. But rumors. So can't take it serious till they do. Maybe they will extend the story to it's full potential-if-they ever do.
