Ah, now *this* looks more Martin-ish! His stance is that of a true warrior, yes, but there's something a bit more haggard and heavy about his features, which is suitable for the character. The extra lines/shading beneath his eyes, and his heavier eyebrows, help out in this regard. 

While I can agree that you're not quite there yet, you're definitely on the right path! I still think broader shoulders and a slightly more barrel-chest would help, but you don't have to be excessive about it. Right now, his midriff looks wider than his shoulders, and that's something that's more suitable for Gonff.

The cape's lookin' mighty sick. Lovely detail work as always--'specially that sword, my gosh.

I do agree that something is missing--a bit more rough, raggedness to capture both his slave past and occupation as a wanderer? I see the slight chip in his ear, but otherwise his fur and clothing are all very kempt. I would sooner believe this was an adult Matthias, rather than Martin. The weariness in his expression, despite him smiling, is an excellent catch, though--that's spot-on.

Okay, sure...  I'm not exactly shaking in my boots, but he looks awesome!  Great design.  Making a mouse look intimidating is a pretty tall order.  Unless, I suppose, we're talking about a certain Disney mascot getting ready to buy out another beloved franchise...  Ba-zing!
