First off, the basics: Illustration board, Micron pens in 005, 01, and 02, watercolor, white gel pen, and acrylic paint. 15x20 in.

This piece is part of a series I am doing that combines my artistic interpretations of nebulae and ink drawings of animals from different habitats. This first one is, quite obviously, forest dwellers. I am thinking of turning this into a twelve piece series. Basically it's about the beauty of the universe and how it takes different forms in nature- from our beginnings as stardust to nature's most amazing and complex creatures.

I would love to make prints of this piece (on my own, not through deviantart) but everywhere seems to want to charge me an arm and a leg to do so. :/
