EECHCHC.SOMEONE TELL ME- how do I take a picture of a painting that remains true to the color, yet doesn't make the damn thing shine with flash? I was proud of this thing until I had to tweak the shitty photograph of it in photoshop for 15 minutes...and ended up with this u_u
It's mispelled for a reason.

You can try to scan it several times because it is big and then reassemble the scanned file into one with your favorite editing program.
It may take a lot of rescanning, depending on how big it is and depending on how well your scanner works but the lighting will always be perfect.

beautiful work, i love the concept and its really well painted. the stairs and background are amazing.

the colors, along with the jagged shapes, and contrast makes this image very powerful, with a foreboding sense of what awaits us in death. it's a very interesting concept, and a jpy to stare at, hehe. my only concern is that there's not enough detail, alhough the style you've chosen to do this in doesn't need much detail, it's always nice to see more. overall, it's a nice painting

What a beautifull painting! It shows so much anxiety and lonelyness, but there's a light of hope as well. I understand your frustration because of the photo - I have this all the time, I'm sick whenever I have to shoot my painting.

I know how to shut off ze flash, at least...
It's just that the tungsten filter on the camera makes the colors looked washed out. And if I don't use flash and use regular light, the colors come out muddy and distorted.

I'd suggest you read your manual to find out how to shut off the flash, but make sure the lighting in the room is very good and rest the camera on something sturdy when you take the photo so that the slower shutter speed doesn't make the photo blurry. If you've got that at school, just ask me and I'll take it with mine and send it to you online later.
