First page of my fan comic about Scar's early life. The prologue pages were definitely be traditionally done but I think all the pages after that will have to be digital since watercolor paper is expensive. D8Related content

Nicely done. I've never seen a webcomic ever made in watercolors (or any traditional medium for that matter), but I like it.

I understand, keeping something like that up takes a lot. I think making only the prologue in watercolor is a nice way of setting it apart from the rest of the comic.

I have to tell you that watercolour looks fabulous here and it's a pity that you can't afford... but I know, the art materials can be very expensive

Thanks~ x3 Yeah. Fortunately I downloaded some watercolor brushes for photoshop that imitate watercolor pretty well so hopefully I'll be able to keep the watercolor look that a lot of people seem to like. :>

Yeah, I wish I could continue with it really bad beyond the prologue. >: But at $15 for 12 sheets, I definitely couldn't afford it. D8 Fortunately the line work will still be traditional. I'll just do all coloring/shading digitally. I'll do my best to keep it looking watercolor-y.

It is. >: The downside to living in an art oriented city. Lots of competing art stores but they know that us art college kids have to get the supplies regardless of the price. ; n;

Aren't there any cheaper?
I don't buy watercolour paper at art stores since it's expensive as hell there,
but at grocery stores I pay about 4€ for 20 sheets D: Really good ones too!
It looks so fabulous so I'd defintely like to see it continue as watercolour :')

Unfortunately no. The watercolor I have now is the cheapest available. And our grocery stores don't carry art supplies beyond crayola brand stuff usually and notebook paper. >: I think I saw a cheap sketchpad once at the store I work at but that paper was barely going to be able to take crayon drawing let alone a wet medium.
In my previous apartment I would have been able to buy several pads of watercolor paper to keep this going but my new one costs a lot more so money is really tight. >: But the moment I have spare money to get more, I definitely will. :> Watercolor is my favorite medium.
