Usually I don't write fan fictions, but this idea came to my mind today and I just had to draw it. English is not my native language, sorry for grammar errors. ^^"

Kion belongs to Disney. Timba is my made up character, Kion's son. So is Asani, the one mentioned in the story.

„Your mother told me you’ve been taunting Tuzuri again. Why?“

„Did you see her ears? And she’s so clumsy.“

„That’s not a reason to tease someone.“

Kion was trying so much to stay calm, but he clearly saw his son was nothing like him or his father. Or grandfather… That was frustrating. Everyone else from the Night Pride realized it from the very beginning of Timba’s life.

And now, Kion was frowning, disappointed and confused. This week it’s been already several times when his son got into trouble, caught when doing bad things, especially bullying someone.

„I just wanted to have fun.“

This small rebellious face reminded Kion of his worst enemy, worst nightmare – Scar. No, this can’t be true…

„It’s still not a reason! We have to be nice and protect harmony and peace in our pride. Hurting others is bad. One day you’ll be a part of a guard that protects the-“

„-the Tree of Life. You‘re keep saying that but maybe I don’t want to be a part of such a thing.“

Kion took a deep breath and after a while, he spoke again:

„I know you want to be the oldest... I know you want to be a king. But this is Asani‘s duty, not yours. Everyone has a role in the Circle of Life, you know that.“

Timba didn’t say a word, he was just sitting there, right beside his father, angrily looking into the ground.

„Come here,“ Kion decided to cheer him up, like he remembered from Simba. It always worked… „We are pals, right..?“ He continued and tried to hug him.

„Stop it, dad,“ said Timba vigorously, pulling away, further from Kion, „I’m not like you.“
