Description This photo has been making the rounds lately. I have a couple of reflections on this.

First, this shows a problem in our culture. I don't care if you make more money than he does, or if you're a superstar, this behavior is unacceptable. He's the coach, he has a position of authority over you, and if you're not mature enough to follow then you're not mature enough to lead. This is especially shameful because of how many young men want to grow up to be like Kelce, this is not the image those young men and boys should have in a role model.

Second, I'm very impressed with Coach Andy Reid. Because he shows such wisdom and self control. In the midst of his player behaving like a toddler who dropped his binky, Coach Reid is calm. This IS what young men need to see. Even when the world around you feels like chaos and the people around you are turning into animals, this is your chance to take up the mantle and be the man, keep your cool. Very honorable, very inspiring.

I was also impressed by Patrick Mahomes after the game saying, "I give all the glory to God." That's a good example to young men too.

I hope Travis will make a public apology, and I hope young men will choose the correct role models here. Andy Reid shows them how to behave when people like Travis Kelce are showing others how not to.
