In a way, celebrating the new upcoming Punisher netflix series and the fact that my favourite comic lad of all time, Garth Ennis, is returning to the Punisher franchise to give us a prequel to his infamous Vietnam arc
Of course, I am hyped as fuck as I consider Garth Ennis a spiritual liege when it comes to writing anti-heroes and one of the reasons I am adamantly a fan of graphic novels as a form of art
"Si vis pacem, para bellum" of course means "If you want peace, prepare for war", which was a mantra that Frank Castle learned in Boot Camp as we find out in the 2004 movie version with Thomas Jane and John Travola, which of course was inspired by Punisher MAX when it was at the helm of Garth Ennis
I am aware there are some errors, mostly with the perspective of one of the rifles and also the fact that Frank is pretty buff on his right side, compared to the rest
But let's just say Frank simply has more exercising with his right side of his body from socking pedophiles and thugs in the face with haymakers and carrying around heavy, all steel receiverΒ assault rifles one handed dramatically, often barrel in the air
Punisher is pretty much my favourite anti-hero and one of my favourite products from Marvel besides Spiderman (who is my favourite Marvel hero and hero overall)

Once more, the writer picks up his pen. Whaddya been up to, this long while?
For the strangest reason, "Blown me away" starts playing, whenever I hear the punisher.
I can imagine the first complaints coming from the inexperienced individuals: Too unhappy of a character and the humour is also too dark, also, Michael Bay with guns.
On the flip side, enact "punishment" on the 1989 film?

The 1989 film is really obscure, so I haven't gotten a chance to see how bad it actually is outside of the last 20 minutes I watched on youtube once

And to that procrastination, I may tempt with a site providing several Punisher comics, free to read.
From what I've heard of it, he doesn't even wear the iconic skull shirt. That alone, is a deal breaker.
And with the going craze of this comin series, gonna be pushin out some Punisher of ye own? Would be interested to hear your version of a crossover with Captain America, WW2 vet and 'nam vet and all.
And maybe in between, the krieger waifu, to fit the bill.

Of course because paying 600 kroner for a single volume of the Garth Ennis run physically locally is a bit extensive
Yeah and Frank consistently has chronic stank lip any time he fires a gun
It is just terrible all around
I wish, tbh at most I may want to touch around with my favourite renditions of the character which is the hyper realistic, Vietnam vet Frank Castle we know and love a few more times
