In the second reference sheet for BERSERKTALE, we have the companions that have/will aid Frisk on their journey of revenge and retribution
The first is Flowey (an entity separate from Asriel and in this universe, sort of a figure replacing Toriel) a mystical little, innocent monster who provides not only empathy for the nearly (at least now) sociopathic Frisk after they had suffered betrayal at the hands of Chara
Also a lot of fourth-wall breaking hijinks and general comedic relief
Then is Sans the Skeleton
In his full Skeleton armour which was a real bitch to ink and spooper spoopy to do so as well
Looking on it now, I wish I was more courageous with my use of ink and made more of the shield-bearing arm more black but oh well
Also, you can see he is holding a sword made of spoopy Behelits which he retrieved from his stomach to assist Frisk, but ultimately still proved nearly useless against the God-Hand
And finally, Undyne with a stand in sketch for a sword, as the Casca-like character
While it seems more appropriate of her being the Guts-like character with her trademark black armour and the fact she wore an eye patch - very similar to the prototype version of Guts from Miura's original manga pitch
But ultimately, Frisk really embodies the Guts-persona more by the fact that they have the duality necessary - being able to be completely merciless or entirely merciful
The duality is what makes the Guts-character dynamic work, in that even the most heinous action can be seen as merely a mirror of their hidden inner most kindness
That and I think it would be more horrifying for someone like Undyne, the hot headed champion warrior, to go down the Casca route and be apostraphe'd down to being a mostly mute, retard that is begrudgingly in the care of Frisk after the events of the Eclipse
