Description
For this College project that I was given based around learning how story boards work, I was tasked with recreating a scene from a movie, but in the style of a comic book page. I decided to choose the film "Freddy VS Jason" for this project, as I felt the final confrontation between Freddy and Jason was very dramatic, tense and felt like something straight out of a comic (which is ironic since the cancelled sequel's script eventually was translated into a comic book format). I chose to first sketch out each of the panels in pencil (which was erased once the ink that was painted on top of the pencil linework had set), I then went over the pencil with black ink, and finally once the ink linework had fully set I diluted some of the ink with water and applied it onto some areas of the panel in order to create shading. I overall really liked how this piece turned out as the use of mainly black and greyscales in this piece gave it a more dark and dramatic feel much like that out of a Universal Horror Film.
