Description
This is of Rennok, about a half a year before his death, not long from this point until he loses his sanity.They decided to use Rennok as a test subject for Irken Epidermolysis bullosa, for humans if you don't know, is a skin disease people are born with when even a simple touch will cause their epidermis to fall off. They gave Rennok the irken equivalent to this disease (semi-temporary) to see if they could try testing him for a cure. though, nothing came of it and Rennok just ended up with some really nasty scars.
if you're wondering about the title, this is bad Karma for rennok, for testing chemicals on all those poor Rats and (on rare occasion) Irken civilian.

For starters, the piece has a very nice overall feeling (nice as in well done, not nice meaning pleasant, seeing as the feel is not at all pleasant :U). I shivered a bit, looking at it- the pallet and texture used feel dark and cold, and the subject matter is clear and well portrayed.
I like Rennok's pose- it's natural, and it fits the situation. Something odd is happening with the anatomy of his legs, though- they look small in comparison to the rest of him, as well as too short. I always imagine a character drawing their legs up to their chest- knees reach almost to your collar bone. The arms are also a bit short, though their anatomy is a lot better.

The wounds are fairly well done- they could use a bit more texture and detail, but the placement and general idea of them are spot on. I adore the way the skin on his wrist seems to be dissolving to form a new one. It's easy to draw a connection between the newest wound and his eyes, defining his gaze itself as sort of a central focus of the picture. The PAK makes another nice point of focus, although again that glint on the top of his head is distracting.
The background, though obviously not the point of the picture, frames things well- keeping with the cold color scheme. The pipes look a bit hastily done, though.

yes, he eventually looses his mind from the tests and lack of much socialization, eventually he rips the cords out of his own PAK, leaving him 10 minutes to live.
