Description
Javert et Gavroche 13Gavroche:Hi there, we went to the botanical garden in Paris today. Martin, the bear was a cute fella! Javert had some sort of business, he said, so he did not want to take me there, but I just followed him anyway!

Gavroche: Javert, can I keep this bear? Maybe in your apartment?
(Javert sighs, shakes his head, seeming to be very annoyed)

He is a cute little(?) fellow. You can play with him. I don't think Javert does not want to deal with him, though.

Yeah, I like that drawing, too!
You know what? They really had a bear called Martin at the botanical garden, I do not know if it was at the time of Les Mis or late 19th century, or maybe early 20th century but they actually had, and Martin was very popular among Parisians! Also I heard that they had elephants, too.
