THOUGHT I WASN'T GOING TO POST ONE EH?ย Well I wasn't, but I found a lot of spare time today and did all of it today. Pretty impressive, but also a stupid move. Whatever. Enjoy the spoopy season.
I will draw all the Blecks to make up for the severe amount of Blecks on Youtube. Shut up, I like him. Dimentio is popular enough. He probably has enough content. Yah. Not because I don't like to draw him that much (stupid BELL HAT).
Monochromatic is fun. Challenging, but fun. I hope it doesn't look too busy! (Probably does
) I'm really stupid proud of this though because the jewel looks jewel-like. I think. I think it looks nice. I dunno. Tell me if I messed up somewhere.

It's very different from colored drawings. Instead of focusing on color theory (what colors work together and all that jazz), you focus on values, what areas are dark, what areas are light and how they interact.
Actually, I think it's really great practice for any artist! It helps train you to see how light and shadows work. My picture here was kind of BSing it because I got lazy, but it still worked with that aspect in an exaggerated way.
I suggest you do them! They're really fun, and are just different. The challenge is to make sure your objects don't blend into each other (very difficult, but not terribly so). Strong darks and lights help

Damn that was fast. Hope you enjoyed the speedpaint! If you saw it, is it too fast, too slow? I'm trying to find the ideal speed for these things. If you didn't see it and aren't fond of speedpaints, that's alright.
Damn that's a whole lot of Dims and Bleckles. I'm just having a lot of fun drawing him right now (cough animatic is making me draw him over a hundred times, kill me), so enjoy it while it lasts
