Okay, so everybody and his brother's dog is humanizing these characters but I figured I'd give it a try anyhow.In the human story Diego is part of the Mafia sent to kidnap the son of a political official, Sid is a clueless drifter and Manny is simply a fellow out of work and sinking.
BTW, Manny is saying: "I'm not fat! It's this coat. It makes me look...poofy."

I was pissed that the baby didn't return in the sequels. If it weren't for the baby, Manny, Sid and Diego wouldn't have become friends

I think it's sad that they lost that oppertunity.Β That was one of the unique things about the first movie, the ice age creatures interacting with humans.Β That dynamic was super interesting.Β It would have been something that could have been explored much deeper.Β Β

Sid has that good parental figure, but he totally needs another adult to help him out. Cause, I can see some fatherly in him, but he doesn't have much responsibility in him to watch a child alone for five minutes. I sympathize with Sid a lot, because his family abandoned him and didn't seem to think twice.Β
I sympathize with all Ice Age characters.

I think he would makes good dad. He's caring and protective of little guys and he wants a kid so bad. His problem is he's so absent minded and easily distracted.

If I was ever orphaned, Sid would be the kind dad that I'd like to have. (Though, I'm already happy with my own father) He definitely needs a good wife that will keep him in check. Other then that he'd indeed decent for a father.
If there if ever was a movie where it revolved around Sid and a single mother sloth with her own kids. I'd totally see that a great chance.Β
I picture Sid fitting with a soccer mom like personality and believes that she take care of herself, but really can't. I can Sid developing with a character like that.Β

Love how you did it,if everything from the first film was humanized I'm sure this how it would've turned out,the human forms of these three characters matches up so well to there personality and their roles in the actual film that I can actually see Sid,Diego and Manny in these forms in the same story but in a alternative universe.Sorry Β if I didn't make much sense but great artwork!

Yes. Β YES! Β Someone finally noticed his wedding ring! Β You are the first. Β It was so clear in the movie that he wasn't about to let go of the memory of his family any time soon I can't imagine him letting go of his wedding ring if he were human. Β Not quite sure how they would have died though, it would obviously have to have something to do with the baby's family or at least the government his parents are attached to, as, of course in the real story his family was killed by humans.Β

I'm a sucker for sad past stories and Manny's had me tearbending,especially during the first film,shame they couldn't somehow continue it,(after the second film,Manny's first wife and son were somewhat forgotten) The ring is probably why your human form of Manny is my favorite of the ones I've seen so far :victory:

I know, his past was a real tearjerker and I was thoroughly disappointed that it was never mentioned again. Even when his new family was in danger there was not even a hint of 'no, not again' type thing. I really wished they would have at least touched on it.
What I'm even more disappointed about, though is that they haven't encountered humans again. From the very beginning I was hoping that they would meet Pinky again, maybe older.
