"Mommy, daddyWhy does it always rain at home?"
There are lots of children around the world that live in a broken home; parents fighting, drinking, cheating and hating eachother – and lots of children don’t know any better, having been in those kind of situations for all their live.
Isn’t it terribly sad that there are children in this world who are used to the sight of their parents shouting, and hurting eachother? Used to things breaking and tears, to ‘extra boyfriends and girlfriends’?
Most of them love their parents, and would never want to think bad about them, which makes me all the more angry about those irresponsible people who don’t consider their loved child while selfishly imposing their malaise on their offspring.
So, taking a break from my usual drawing, I came upon this idea; a little girl holding an umbrella and patiently waiting for the sun to shine for her, too. Except that it’s only raining inside her umbrella…
