Description My second fight with colour pancils. YAY looks sooo damn nice ^__^ I felt a bit tired of watercolours lately so I thought I should try something else. Now my hand hurts like hell and I'm having problems typing a long description, so I think I'll leave it as it is xD

I think this is the best use of colored pencils I've ever seen. Instead of making a nice picture despite the skitchy-skitchyness of colored pencils, you made it part of the art.

The detail you put into here is very admirable I love those whispy, yet solid, pencil strokes! I've never drawn anything with all colored pencils before, but I'd always imaged--like you said--that it'd kill my hand. XD

Oh it really did @_@ I still can't force myself to talk to my colour pencils again... And I trully envy people who could paint with colour pancils (yeah, exactly like I said ) in this "solid" way. I just can't resist mixing colours, but I'd really rather do that like ~KillerGoldFish-ka does. Ahe will always be my colour pencil Master *....*

~genialne, naprawde @@; bardzo podoba mi sie cala kompozycja,i ta deliaktna pastelowa kolorystyka już dawno nie widziałam arta tego typu [chodzi mi o przełamywanie kolorów *czy jak to sie tak profesjonalnie nazywa XD*] te niebieskie akcenty na skórze są świetne!

Jezu... "przelamywanie kolorow", wiec tak to sie nazywa? Wow, czlowiek naprawde uczy sie tu codziennie nowych rzeczy xD Nie wiem sama, jakos nie umiem inaczej. Chcialam to zrobic w troszke innym stylu, ale najwyrazniej styl wyrobiony przy akwarelach daje o sobie znac zbyt mocno i stad to mieszanie barwami. Moze kiedys dobracuje te kredeczki

It's the middle of beautiful spring here!

Pikne, chciałbym kiedyś umiec osiągnać choć jedną dziesiątą tego co Ty potrafisz, głównie jeśli chodzi o zamykanie w kolorze ciepła i światła. Bo pod tym względem jesteś absolutną mistrzynią.

Ciagle bede sie upierac, ze wszystko jest kwestia wytrenowania. Bo jak sobie przypomne, jakie gnioty rodzilam jeszcze pare lat temu (jakby Ci sie kiedys nudzilo, zapraszam do Scrapow. Mam tam zakopany swoj udzial w akcji "Quest For Improvement" co fantastycznie obrazuje moja ewolucje w czasie ). Gnioty to malo powiedziane xD

Dziekuje za komlement. Daleko mi jednak do "WIELKICH" :] moze kiedys...

Oh this has such a summery feel to it, I feel so much better just looking at it! :-D

The tree / plant leaves look so soft I want to reach out and stroke them, and the sky outside the window looks like the kind of thing I'd want to lie on the groun and stare up at for hours. The shading on the flowers is really lovely too, and the floor and window / wall is such a warm shade, sorta honey coloured. It reminds me of the floor at a hotel I went to stay at one year in Italy, it looked so inviting in the summer sun. If I were going to critisise anything, it would have to be the plant climbing up the wall to the left of the girl. Just a tad more bulking of the stems would give it a little more of a "solid" feel.

Keep it up.

The right side of her was the startpoint of this picture. I'm right-handed and I didn't want to blur everything (after all these are watercolour pencils). So I started with the tree, wall and plant on the left, when I didn't have eny idea how this should look in details. I had a general idea only. So I was testing, playing with effects... That's why both sides don't look alike xD Baaah.. loks ok anyway, I think

You're very welcome Have you thought about using some blotting / greaseproof paper to cover your work as you go? That should stop the smudging and would allow you to work on other sections without the worry of ruining what you already have done.

Yeah, I'll think of that but even so the paper should not be moved by moving hand (smudging) and this'll be a bother anyhow I'll see next time, thanks

No way, that's the only way I can use colour pencils. I don't know why, other technics are like magic to me. Maybe it's because of that book I bought once when I was a child. The title was "how to PAINT with colour pencils?" and I said: wow, interresting, I thought you don't PAINT with them, just DRAW. So I bought the book and that was my first step. I never used any of the technics shown there. This here (and the previous piece) are my first attempts
