Good sir, I implore you to please describe the meaning and message of this piece. I find it beautifully somber, and I have an idea of what I believe it to be, although my idea is vague and I am transfixed by this painting.

Thanks for your stimulating and insightful comment.
All I can say in regard to this painting is that I elaborated its composition in my mind for a long time as a sort of embryo unable to take a definitive shape inside the amniotic entanglement of my most intimate feelings and thoughts.
Actually its meaning lies mainly in its necessity to be projected on the canvas in order to give an objective representation to the perception of mystic longing haunting me on a daily basis.
The ability to unleash a personal "emotive interpretation" into the watcher might be considered as a collateral achivement as well as the "ratio essendi" of the image itself.

Well, you have, at least with me, achieved your goal. It is almost bordering on the level of hypnotic for me. I can see a good deal of my own frustrations and desires within it, and I have to applaud you on this most stunning and truly awesome painting.

I hope I can make it to one of your shows someday so I can see some of these close up!
Just curious, is that a lock of red hair on top of the submarine?

Hi UngaKhan
No doubt the best way to fully enjoy a painting is to watch the original piece at different distances (this is particularly true in the case of this canvas since the photo isn't able to capture all its nuances and details).
If you live not far away from the West Coast, maybe you'll be able to personally see my art at the upcoming group show that will be held next month in Pasadena, California (more info at [link] ).
The hair of the woman works as a sort of ramp or hook, so your assumption is right.
Thanks a lot for your comment.

Thank you very much for the invitation, I sure would love to come.
I encourage everyone that can, to go and see the show as well.
I'm near the Canadian border, so may not get there this time. Too bad for me.
