Best of luck with your career! I've done a static html site which took me ages and is probably full of bugs..I'm also following a php/ dynamic website tutorial...had a dream of making apps for iPad...Maybe someday, who knows.

Yes, it can take quite a bit of time just to make a website - let alone an iPad application! Keep at it though! If there are any schools in your area that cover iOS application development I'm sure you could ease into it nicely, I know my college offers classes regarding it and people seemed to take to it well. Good luck to you too!
