Any recommendations for a good Chinese Drama?
Planning on watching some, and I know you watch a few.

Oh, that's a tough one. I've watched a lot of dramas, but there aren't too many that I would recommend....And most of the dramas I've seen are relatively old - I feel like the more recent ones aren't that great. =/ There's also the problem that most of the Chinese dramas I've watched are historical-set pieces, so I'm not sure how well they translate into other languages.
Martial arts classics like Condor Heroes might be good? Did you have any particular dramas in mind?

If you don't mind possibly leaning towards a Taiwanese mandarin accent, I know Taiwan has a lot of dramas based on anime (though I've never really watched them). Oh, one that I did watch and thought was ok was called It Started With a Kiss (though I wouldn't really recommend it if you don't like romantic comedies with an airhead main female character) starring Ariel Lin - she also starred in Legend of Condor Heroes 2008, which is the only drama in mandarin I've seen so far that I thought was pretty good.

I found this website that might be helpful for learning Chinese - on the right-hand side, there are links for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and extensive learners of Chinese. I'm currently watching the video series Growing Up with Chinese in my spare time. This might be a good place for reviewing and to get your feet wet.

How is life? Mine is a little boring as it is. Lately i've been juggling between having my studies done and day-dreaming. I guess i day-dream too much because i'm lonely :< maybe that's why internet is so addicting? Haha.

I've been generally alright. Still trying to juggle work with life. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, maybe? I'll probably have to relearn how to juggle life with school when I go into grad school.

Yes, studying is for life. D: It's what happens when people keep coming up with new things; even if you know everything there is to know now, there will be new things tomorrow. It's a good thing, but I don't like studying....Which makes me worried about whether or not I can survive grad school....o_o
Work is generally going well. Still not very happy during inactive times and still getting stressed out a bit during hyperactive times. Thankfully my coworkers are awesome and help me out when they know I'm overworking myself. I'm going to miss them when I leave for grad school. I think the main problem with work is that I feel like I've been taking a lot of days off for holidays/sickness/preparing for grad school. I feel like I'm shirking my duties, but my boss hasn't told me off or anything yet. >_>; Oh well...

yeah... i guess that is why ppl tell us to choose something we like to do. I've chosen to go for graduation in Mathematics this year and i hope i'll be ok with studying it for the rest of my working life xD it's scary and exciting at the same time haha.

aww you're so lucky to have found a good team at work! Well, you can't help to take days off during holidays, sickness and prep school, can you? xD I get the impression your boss doesn't need to tell you off because you keep doing that to yourself... Just don't overwork yourself too much, ok?
