Yeah, we have to disagree on that. Anything with a penis in an ecchi is a nuisance that doesn't serve any purpose... xD

especially traps. The main character often times is a necessary evil.

Anime has so much more to offer. I watched my fair share of ecchi and it gets monotone very fast, especially because there are a lot more bad ecchi than good ones...

I mean that's the right thing to do, draw what you love, they say

Really? It's often the same mediocre harem setting with a bunch of stereotypical charactertrophes (Tsundere, the Shy one, the Tomboy etc.) I mean how often can you see a guy falling to land between someones boobs or between their legs til it gets old? And it's often a bigger cocktease than it needs to be because there is almost never a conclusion in the end in which the MC choose anyone for that matter so you often start where you began, none the wiser. Ecchi can be fun, clearly, but it's really a rarity if I'm more invested than a slight amusment.
